Elven Legacy

I feel the need to apologise in advance for this preview. Some of you may find that the details in regards to storyline are somewhat...sketchy. This is due to the fact that the main story telling cut scene for this game was spoken in Russian with no English subtitles. But I will try and talk about it to the best of my abilities.

Men of War PC Review

It is often said that history is written by the winners of wars; similarly, a blockbuster game can cause others to become lost and forgotten within its shadow, effectively rewriting the history of a particular genre. It's this effect which will cause most to assume at first glance that Men of War is trying to be Company of Heroes.

Infinite Undiscovery

Infinite Undiscovery is a standalone RPG for the Xbox 360, in which you play as Capell, a travelling musician who is mistaken for a hero of the people and locked up by the enemy army. After being rescued by one the hero's companions, Capell meets and joins the party in its quest to liberate the moon from the chains binding it to the Earth.

Ankh: Curse of the Scarab King

Point and click adventure games have always been a long lost love for me. When I was younger I was always playing the classic point and click games like Day of the Tentacle, Monkey Island and Sam & Max. Whilst I have fond memories of these games I have never really played any other point and click games that have made me feel the same as when I was a child. So will this game fill me with fond memories of yesteryear or will it just be another dud game?

Necrovision PC Review

Necrovision, where do I begin with this little mixed bag of emotions? Well at the beginning would be the logical point, so for those who aren't aware I shall try to briefly enlighten you with some foundation details.

Hotel Giant 2 PC Review

When we received this game in the post, I took one glance at it and said "I'm going to review this game now," and before anyone said anything else there I was unwrapping the packaging and starting to install the game. As the computer screen said ‘installing' I gazed, as the screenshots came on, in awe.

Little Big Planet PS3 Review

Play. Create. Share. That's what game narrator Stephen Fry tells you when you first boot up this game. You have full control from the first moment the game loads, as you control your new best friend, Sackboy, as you run along a flat plane with the games opening credits playing behind you. From here, it's time to play.

Final Fantasy X PS2 Review

After having 9 very successful predecessors, Final Fantasy X had to be something truly special. It had been 4 years since the release of Final Fantasy IX and fans such as me were going crazy for more!
I couldn't wait to see how the series had translated onto its new home, the PS2 and what SquareSoft had done with the game.

Unreal Tournament 3 retail will now work in Steam

If you have bought a retail version of Unreal Tournament 3 you will now be able to register it on Steam free of charge.

Normally if you already own a game (say Quake 3) Steam (for obvious reasons) will not allow you to put the key in to download it off them.

All format UK sales chart (week ending 24th January)

This weeks charts look fairly similar to last weeks, but we do have two new entries in the top 10. The two titles speak for themselves; Skate 2 is a skateboarding sequel from EA, while My Fitness Coach is a re-release on the Wii which, surprisingly enough, aims at coaching your fitness. Tomb Raider: Underworld PS3 Review

Tomb Raider has always been one of gaming's most iconic series. When Crystal Dynamics took over the reigns of the franchise it received a much needed overhaul after the lacklustre Angel of Darkness.

Titan Quest PC Review

Diablo 2 has alot to answer for.  Not only has it swallowed many peoples lives with it's addictive nature, it has also spawned many Diablo 2 "clones".  Titan Quest is one of these clones.  Unfortunately, it seems not only to emulate the good parts of Blizzard's classic, it also brings back the bad parts.

Guitar Hero: World Tour

The Guitar Hero series has managed to raise the profile of gaming since its humble beginnings, being easy to play, accessible and most importantly: fun. What could easily have been another gimmicky novelty-controller based game managed to tap into something enjoyable and interesting.

Far Cry 2 Xbox 360

Far Cry 2 is the long awaited sort-of sequel to Far Cry 1. (although there have been extra Far Cry games, None can be called a sequel.)
