Metal Gear Solid: Rising E3 Demonstration

Hideo Kojima took to the stage at Microsoft's E3 conference yesterday to share a new look at Metal Gear Solid: Rising.

The game revolves around the phrase Zan (To Cut) Datsu (To Take), which is very fitting for the theme of the game.
The game play shows Raiden, part protagonist of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, dashing around slicing and dicing his way around several enemies, vans and watermelons. It looks like a typical hack and slash adventure which is not so typical for the game series itself.

mgs rising

A title which is usually synonymous for the stealth action, hiding in boxes and silently suffocating your victims, MGS: Rising is being touted as Lightning Bolt Action, featuring bloodbaths in wide open city streets. Maybe things are changing for the series, but remains to be seen if the changes will be favourable with the fans. Until more footage is released I guess we just wont know.
