New Trailer For Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Released

A new trailer has been released for Final Fantasy XIV.

The trailer shows some of the characters and explains a little about the story we can expect when patch 2.0 hits later on this year.

Patch 2.0 - A Realm Reborn is set to bring in a whole wealth of changes to the game which following its 2010 release, was pretty much universally slated. This patch is the work of a new development team taking over the title and is a complete revamp of the world, gameplay aspects and storyline.

Take a look at the trailer below:

Currently Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is slated for a late 2012 - early 2013 release on both the PC and PS3.

The more I see and hear about this, the more I want to resub and give this a shot when 2.0 is released!

I never bothered with the original, or it's first rebooting, but I'll give it a go when this one comes out. Or at least try a trial if they offer one. Considering how completely ****e the last two attempts at this same game have been I'm more than a little wary of buying right off the bat.

Yeah I can understand the weariness, If I didn't already have the game here I would be the same. As it is for me, its just a case of paying a month sub and patching but id want to wait a bit first past the initial release of it before buying the game completely.

Although that being said, there are places that are doing the game as it is now for like £7 so it may be worth grabbing it if you see it cheap as no doubt the price will rise once 2.0 is here.

Is there a free 30 days with it? I assume so, if that's the case I might just pick it up cheap then wait until the new patch hits. I assume it'd be alright to just not activate it until then. Unless they're going to make old version keys useless to new vers...

Stupid *******s. Making things more confusing than they need to be. Eh, if I see it cheap somewhere I'll maybe just pick it up on the off-chance it'll work and the game turns out playable.
