Call of Duty: Ghosts PC Specifications Revealed

Call of Duty: Ghosts

It has recently been announced by Nvidia that Call of Duty: Ghosts will, among others things, require 50GB of Hard Drive space. 50GB! It feels like if Infinity Ward can't have the most talked about game of the year, they will fill up your HD so that you can't actually install anything of the other titles.

The previous iteration, Black Ops II, only required 10GB. I can only imagine that this extra 40GB is filled up with Scooby Snacks and Fish AI.

I fear that my internet service provider may decide to up and block my network connection when I atttempt to download 50GB from Steam.

Putting this detail aside, here are the rest of the specifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit
  • CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 2.66 GHZ / AMD Phenom X3 8750 2.4 GHZ or better
  • RAM: 6 GB RAM
  • HDD: 50 GB HD space
  • Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti / ATI Radeon HD 5870 or better
  • Sound: DirectX Compatible Sound Card
  • DirectX: 11
  • Internet: Broadband connection and service required for Multiplayer Connectivity. Internet connection required for activation.

Recommended Requirements:

  • All of the above but with:

there's absolutely no reason to recommend a GTX 780, the fucking game is still on the Quake 3 engine.

It won't need that trust me, this is just Nvidia trying to shift cards since they're partnered on this one. And after all these are the specs from Nvidia's site where they have recommended dumb GPU's in the past, iirc I saw a post from a guy with a GTX770 and the site told him he should get a GTX660ti for more performance.
