Diablo III Announced for Xbox 360 and Given Release Date

Blizzard Entertainment have just announced that Diablo III will not just be coming to the Playstaion 3 and 4 but also the Xbox 360. No word has been mentioned on whether the dungeon crawler will be releasing on the Xbox One, but at least owners of Microsoft's current console will get the chance to play the hugely popular series.

Blizzard have also given a worldwide release date of September 3rd, promising a completely overhauled UI built entirely around controllers adding that the PS4's touchpad will receive additional support.

Released on PC and Mac last year, fans of the series were hit by a series of bugs, also citing the addition of an auction house (where players can sell items for real world money) as an unfair feature. No word has been heard on whether the console versions will feature the same system, but considering Microsoft's notoriously strict rules on such features, we wouldn't be surprised to find the system absent for the Xbox release.

Either way, we look forward to seeing how Blizzard's first foray into console gaming for many, many years pans out. Stay tuned for more!

Apparently - as a PC gamer - I should be pretty butthurt about this. But I've never played any Diablo games, so I have no idea what they're like.

Have you ever played Torchlight 2 Thom? Both are a part of the same genre and Diablo has inspired a massive amount of dungeon crawlers.

As a fan of the Torchlight series, i'll most probably be picking this up.

Blizzard cashing in again, they dumbed down the pc version, in particular multiplayer side where it seemed strange in the beginning why we were limited to only 4 players in a group, previous Diablo's allowed 6, well this was why, port to console.
There is a new game director and I hope he improves things like loot and boss runs, rmah is another issue, so are bots, damn there too many to list :P

I haven't bud, is it worth picking up? I've heard pretty good things about it.
