E3 - 2013 Coverage: Dragon Age 3: Inquisition

As the smooth, sultry voice of Claudia Black pierces the silence, it can only mean one thing, Dragon Age 3: Inquisition is coming, and it's ready to knock our socks off. The trailer for the new release will use DICE's new Frostbite 3 engine and looks very nice indeed.

A mass of fantastical battles and magic erupt on the screen and we are treated to a glimpse at some of the "vast open world" that will be part of this new RPG experience. The game will have choices which not only affect events and people, but the world around you; to which you are destined to restore order to.

There will be characters both new, and old, in the trailer you might recognise the mysterious mage Morrigan from Dragon Age: Origins as well as a quick view of what looks like Varric from Dragon Age 2.

"More of this war than you can imagine... Will you stand against it, or lead this world to its bitter end?"

I'm more interested in the gameplay and dialogue method than setting/story at this point.

If it's like DA:O where I can have fights that look like fights and not retarded ballet, and lots of dialogue choices instead of a line that doesn't represent what my character will say, I'm in.

Basically, if it's DA:O but new I'm in. If it's DA2 and anything else, I'm out. Not even Morrigan can save DA2.
