E3 - 2013 Coverage: Mirror's Edge 2 Announced

After five years of listening to fans cries, it seems EA have finally caved in to the pleas and granted Mirror's Edge a sequel. Released in 2008 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, DICE's critically lauded innovator failed to capitalise on its praise with the public, not selling as well as it deserved.

Fast forward to E3 2013, and spectators of EA's keynote conference finally revealed the first ever footage of the highly desired sequel to the world. Although we were only shown a short trailer, we at least know that the protagonist of the first game - Faith, will again feature in the follow up. The beautifully minimalistic art design of the first game also appears set to return as a veil to the dystopian world that lies below.

EA were teasingly coy about the release date for Faith's next adventure, but in the meantime, check out the trailer below.
