E3 Entrance

Now, if you are not familiar with E3 - or the Electronic Entertainment Expo, to use it's full name - it is possibly the biggest date in the calendar of game developers across the globe, not to mention the big three console manufacturers, Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft. Pretty much anything related to the games industry will more than likely make an appearance at this trade show.

This show is a platform for all these companies to converge into one massive conference hall and show off their upcoming titles, most of which have never been heard of outside of the studios of these developers until now. It's their chance to drum up as much interest or hype for the latest offerings in order to maximise their sales potential. Also, any major announcements from either the software or hardware side of the games industry tend to be announced here at E3, it really is a major event in the games industry's calendar.

This year we'll be expecting to see news and reveals centering around the upcoming PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, as well as updates on upcoming current-gen and next-gen games such as The Last of Us, Watchdogs and Assassin's Creed IV; and no doubt some brand new, previously unseen, titles too.

As you can imagine a lot of work goes into covering such a show and our preparations started over many weeks previous to this news post. So much has to be accounted for and booked in advance before even thinking about setting foot within the exhibition centre. Even when the dust of E3 has settled, we'll still be bringing you written previews and news from our dedicated writing staff.
