First and Second BioShock Infinite DLCs Announced

BioShock Infinite has had it's first downloadable content announced today. It will be an arena combat mode called Clash in the Clouds and be available for $5. The DLC will lauch at 18:00 GMT on Steam for PC with the Xbox 360 and PSN versions coming out as soon as possible.

In Clash in the Clouds, players will gain access to four different maps, fighting 15 waves of enemies in each, earning varying amounts of money based on how they perform. Between each wave, players can restock. There are also "blue ribbon challenges" which will require the player to defeat a wave in a particular way.

The cash earned during the waves will be banked and can be used to open up items in The Columbian Archeological Society, the hub world for the mode. Players will be able to unlock and display concept art, character models, Lutece backstory Boxophones, Kinetoscopes and more.

This may not be what the Season Pass hodlers were hoping for as their first DLC but it seems like a nice addition to the base game. And who doesn't like a good horde mode?

Also confirmed is Burial at Sea where the two lead characters from Infinite are dropped int othe iconic city from the first BioShock game. Familiar faces have been promised from the underwater city. Burial at Sea will come in two parts and be available for $20 for both.

The second, and only real DLC could be really interesting if they do it well. I wonder if they'll go in the alternate dimension direction or stick with the Booker and Elizabeth in the main game.
