Village Life

Playdemic’s limited edition Peace One Day Pack for Village Life is available for 24 hours on 21st September 2013. Available for $4.99 with $1.99 going to support Peace One Day.

Playmob will be running Peace Games Live, a 24-hour live stream event designed to raise funds for worthy causes on 21 September 2013. (http://www.twitch.tv/peacegames). Funds raised as part of the initiative will go towards providing vaccinations for children in war torn areas, education around peace and raising awareness of the movement. Playmob also envisions that Peace Games Live will demonstrate the passion, creativity and generosity of the gaming and development communities.

Peace Games Live will be directly broadcast from the UKIE London Office (http://ukie.info/), streamed globally through Twitch TV. Structured like a telethon, Peace Games Live will encourage support to its donation page by providing exciting feature content from competitions, podcasts through to competitive gaming shows.

Peace Games Live is also being supported by creatives and celebrities from the games industry, with Sony, Capcom, Jagex, Mediatonic, TIGA, Develop, Games Industry International,  Big Red Barrel and UKIE already pledging their support through donations or appearances during the livestream event. Playmob will release a running order for Peace Games Live prior to the event.

Playmob has long championed gaming as a force for good, helping developers and publishers to set up charitable campaigns within their games quickly and easily and enable gamers to feel part of something even bigger by transparently showing them what they are impacting, while they play their favourite games. Peace Games has a simple but crucial message - to benefit those impacted by war and violence, whether in areas of conflict or at home, across the world. Peace Games, and Peace Games Live, is the next logical step in this initiative for us.
