Microsoft have unveiled a newly designed Xbox 360 that fits with the new Xbox branding led by the One. They've also revealed a new free game service for all Live Gold members that will compete with Sony's instant game collection.
The new 360 is smaller and quieter than the current slim model and, as mentioned, features the matte black finish of the new Xbox on-console logo. The console will be available from today in the US, UK, Canada and Australia.
The new console will be priced at the same rate as the previous console. That's $199.99 for the 4GB edition and $299.99 for the 240GB model. You can view the new console below.
As well as this, Microsoft also revealed that Xbox Live Gold will now include a selection of free games that can be downloaded from the Marketplace. The service will begin with only two games, Assassin's Creed II and Halo 3. However, 'hundreds' of games have been promised for the future.
There's been an upheaval of people cancelling their Gold accounts in reaction to the DRM system on the One, so it looks like a way to claw some of them back.
There are lots of exploration based quests for the end-game, mind you, so it probably still has some playtime left in it.
Also, I wish I had Stephen Fry's voice.
