Xbox One Will Support EIGHT Controllers and Other Launch News

Microsoft have updated their product page for their Xbox One wireless controller with lots of specs, but one that stands out more than the rest.

"Connect up to 8 Wireless Controllers at once to your console."

The most we could link was four on the Xbox 360, so with double the capability here, Xbox party nights just got twice as big, although with controllers costing a minimum of £44.99/$59.99 you might want to get your mates to bring their own.

Microsoft are still looking at making the 360 pad compatible with the Xbox One so keep your fingers crossed they find a way.

In other launch news the Xbox One will support external HDDs for those of you who find the internal 500GB storage not ample enough for your gaming needs, but this feature will not be available at launch. There are other features being worked on currently and this one will be updated further on down the line.

The PS3 already supports 7 controllers apparently. Can't see 8 people playing at once though, although in a Mario Party/All-on-screen clusterf*ck scenario this could be hilarious.
