A Classic Reborn! Check Out The Star Ocean The Second Story R Anime Opening

The long-running Star Ocean franchise has had many entries since its first title in 1996, with the latest being Star Ocean The Divine Force. Since the series has spanned many console generations, the earlier titles are at risk of being forgotten by ever-younger audiences, resulting in an attempt to remake the older games into a new age. The success of First Departure R now gives way to the second remake, STAR OCEAN THE SECOND STORY R, which has recently received an animated opening movie!

In it, we see the dual playable protagonists of the game, Claude and Rena, alongside their allies as they set off on their adventure and face fearsome foes, all set to Stella by SUIREN. Star Ocean The Second Story R promises to be a faithful recreation of the original title, retaining the familiar fast-paced combat, skill system, and Private Actions, while adding a new rearranged soundtrack, new difficulty settings, and numerous quality-of-life improvements.

Star Ocean The Second Story R launches on November 2 2023, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles, and digitally on PC via Steam.
