Aeterna Noctis: New Gameplay Trailer Released

Aeternum Game Studio has released a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming 2D metroidvania Aeterna Noctis, set for release towards the end of 2021. Due to the studio's partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment Spain, and its development as part of the 'PlayStation Talents' project, the game will be exclusive for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

As players navigate Aeterna Noctis' intricately detailed, hand-drawn 2D environments as the King of Darkness, they'll unravel the tale of his eternal battle against the Queen of Light. Along the way, players will levels up, sending the King down three paths of specialisation—melee combat, survival attributes and magic abilities—which will affect how gameplay develops.

Aeterna Noctis releases for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in late 2021.
