Babylon's Fall Combat Trailer & Season 1 Details Revealed

SQUARE ENIX has revealed further details regarding the latest title to come from renowned developer PlatinumGames, Babylon's Fall. Showcasing a brand new combat trailer highlighting the unique mechanics players can expect to face; such as the four-weapon combat system and combo potential of attacks.

The trailer briefly explains the different weapon types available and how a player may benefit, as they face off against the enemies of the ziggurat. One example being the use of spectral swords to unleash devastating attacks, should you become surrounded.

Those who may prefer to stay at range are recommended to use bows or magical rods, allowing players to cover wide areas with continuous fire, increasing your projectiles with each combo attack. Should it be required, magical rod users may also power up and provide support to their friends or debuff their foes.

Babylons fall roadmap

In addition to the trailer, a roadmap of content was revealed, detailing plans for the coming months post-launch to the end of May. The plans include the introduction of new game modes, new weapon type, new faction, new story content, and much more. Fans of NieR will also be in for a treat with a planned crossover event at the end of March. This limited time event will feature costumes, enemies and a dungeon inspired by NieR: Automata.

Players eager to jump into the action can already download a demo on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, so they may experience the opening section of the game in solo or four player co-op. Cross-play is also available so players may group up and venture fourth, with all progress from the demo carrying over into the full game for those that purchase Babylon's Fall afterwards. If you should be looking for even more information on the game, feel free to check out the preview that we published right here.

Babylon's Fall is launching worldwide on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC on the 3rd of March 2022.
