Build Your Own Mini Surveillance State in Rust's Latest CCTV Update

Facepunch's multiplayer survival sandbox/tribal warfare simulator, Rust has just been hit with its latest update. Of course there's myriad fixes, changes and minute additions to be found for the discerning player (who'll appreciate the full changelog here), but the main attraction this time around is CCTV.

Players can now outfit their bases with security cameras, linked to computer stations, that can help keep every nook and cranny of their base secure and safe from the sneakiest of intruders.

Other notable additions in this update include a trumpet auto-turret, which toots a random note upon spotting an enemy; the power for server admins to adjust the sea level, causing potential mayhem in the process; and cinematic tools for would-be Rust filmmakers.

Check out the update's trailer above and for full details, check out the changelog here.

The CCTV update is out now for Rust.
