Dead by Daylight's Blood Moon Event is Now Available

If you're itching for a new stomach-churning event in Dead by Daylight, then you're in for some good news! The Blood Moon event is now live, beginning on the 18th of March and ending on the 31st. During it, players will notice a new event-exclusive lobby screen, which burns bright red with a gorgeous lunar phenomenon! Some assets have also been altered to fit the theme, too.

Of course, aesthetic changes aren't the only thing that players can look forward to, as this event comes with a goal: collect Droplets and deposit them into Blood Basins in order to create a Blood Zone that grants all players within the area a buff. But each Survivor can only carry one at a time, while Killers can take two! Darn villains; they always seem to have the upper hand in movies, and now in games, too?

Depending on which team activates the zone, there will be a different buff. For the Killer, the Lunge Attack will last longer, and the blade wipe animations will be extended. As for the Survivors, they'll grunt in pain quietly, and their Pools of Blood will disappear faster! Additionally, both teams will receive a Bloodpoint bonus for the time they spend within the Blood Zone. Whoever is the lucky one who activated it won't need to be within the area to reap the benefits, either.

In addition to the event, there is a new Survivor item called the Bloodsense Map. If players use it during a Trial, they'll immediately see Auras of injured Survivors, no matter where they are! But use it intelligently, as it will leave behind Pools of Blood, so the Killer will be able to pick up your trail.

If that's not enough, Behaviour Interactive Inc. also introduced a new Event Tome, which features 2 Levels of Challenges to complete; this is besides the Blood Seekers Community Challenge! In order to participate in the latter, players will just have to create Blood Zones, which contribute to a collective track.

As always, the challenges come with their own rewards. This time around, collecting enough Blood Trinkets can net players Outfits, Charms, and Player Cards! This means Event Currency can unlock Élodie Rakoto's Catacombs Exploration Outfit and The Oni's Red Mist Outfit, three different Charms (the Droplets, Blood Basin, and Dripping Skulls), or even Blood-Moon-themed Badges and Banners for Player Cards.

If you're up for supporting the game, you could also check out the in-game store for the new Very Rare Outfits: Mikaela Reid, Ace Visconti, The Skull Merchant, and The Doctor! And make sure to log in every day to get the login rewards! Happy Droplet hunting.
