Dragon Quest XI Has Hit 5.5 Million Sales Worldwide

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age is a certified hit, reaching the 5.5 million sales milestone worldwide. This is a 1.5 million increase since it hit the 4 million mark in November 2018.

This sales figure includes both physical and digital sales across all platforms, meaning that the recently released enhanced Switch port Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition likely gave the sales a sizeable bump.

Keeping with series tradition, Dragon Quest XI is a mostly turn-based JRPG where players adventure through the world as a nameless hero, amassing a party of eclectic characters and levelling up to face off against tougher enemies. The title received favourable reviews, with most critics calling it one of the strongest entries in the series and one of the best traditional JRPG’s in recent years. This includes our own review.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age is available for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC worldwide, as well as Nintendo 3DS in Japan.
