Early Access Survival Co-op Title Enshrouded Hits a New Sale Milestone

Keen Games GmbH released their survival base-building open-world crafting title, Enshrouded, a few days ago — on the 24th of January 2024 — and it has already managed to hit a massive sales milestone! This may come as no surprise to the thousands of players that were following its release, but the self-published developer was delighted to see such success.

The million-sale milestone was reached just four days after the game released, on the 28th of January 2024, and the team shared an excited message for everyone who has followed and supported Enshrouded over its release period.

"In just four days, Enshrouded has attracted over a million players. We are completely blown away by its success and the overwhelmingly positive reception. From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank all our players. We're excited to let you know that this is just the beginning for Enshrouded. Enshrouded's success doesn't come as a surprise, however. The game started 2024 as the 9th most-wishlisted title of the year, just behind the overly successful Palworld, and sat comfortably with 121,195 followers at the time. From there, we got to try the game hands-on, writing a preview for it after spending a few weeks in Embervale, and we even wrote a tips & tricks article for it. We were enthusiastic about its release, especially with its avant-garde approach to the survival genre, by mixing in a voxel-based building that lets players explore their creative side more than most other games in the genre.

Even after release, Enshrouded celebrates being the second item in top sellers (at the time of writing), bolstering an 84% positive review rate with 14,745 players that have experienced it over its Early Access, and seeing an all-time peak of 220,070 players at the time of release. Enshrouded's success goes beyond its ambitious sales milestone, and we're excited to see it growing ever more, making it the second successful highly anticipated release of 2024.
