Fallout 4 Hoaxer Speaks

The creator of the infamous Fallout 4 teaser site, Survivor 2299, recently hosted an AMA, where he explained why he decided to try and fool the gaming world.

Going by the name DCHoaxer, he stated “I wanted to force Bethesda to reveal something during VGX on 12/11, and bring the /r/Fallout community together (for at least 3 weeks) Unfortunately, this plan Failed.”

He also said that after the websites countdown ended, he planned for a full-blown CG trailer reveal. However, a talk with Bethesda quickly put a stop to his plan. 

DCHoaxer admited that perhaps he was a little wrong to try and deceive the fans, and that he was a "prick" and a "douche". As a result of his hoax, he also received 14 death threats. 

Whether you agree with his methods or not, it seems that the only thing DCHoaxer succeeded in doing was incurring the wrath of Fallout fans worldwide.

Fallout 4 still remains unannounced, with Bethesda keeping quiet on any development thus far.
