Game Opening Pre-Owned Based Stores To Rival CEX

GAME have opened two new stores in Lincoln and Cambridge under the name GAMEtronics. GAME have confirmed that the stores will stock a "range of new products" but will be heavily focused on trading in.

GAMEtronics as a new brand is currently restricted to just these two stores in Lincoln and Cambridge. The aim of these stores is to focus heavily on trading in, and not just games and consoles, but also tablets, laptops, cameras, TVs and other electronic devices. They will also stock a selection of new items including hardware, accessories, games and digital codes.

Although GAME have been trading in used games and consoles for a long while now these stores seem to be designed specifically to rival CEX, a growing second hand goods chain in the UK with a line in used games and consoles.

There is currently no further information regarding the expansion of the GAMEtronics brand into other areas.
