Jack Black Set to Join the Cast of the Borderlands Movie
Jack Black will join co-stars Kevin Hart, Cate Blanchett and Jamie Lee Curtis on the upcoming movie adaptation of Borderlands, set to be directed by Eli Roth. Black (School of Rock, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle , Kung Fu Panda) will play comic relief robot Claptrap (AKA: CL4P-TR4P) in what—we can only assume—is a voice-only role.
Lets get this party started!

The Borderlands Movie has casted @jackblack to play the most okay-est robot in the universe, CL4P-TR4P!https://t.co/OebiXKtJnd
Unlike the competent, action-ready attitudes of his companions, Claptrap's role among the Borderlands ensemble is, largely, to get in the way. In the games, he's more often found hindering than helping, despite his (mostly) good intentions.
The Borderlands movie is currently in pre-production. There is no release date confirmed.
