Measuring the Scale of HUMANKIND

As we near HUMANKIND's release on the 17th of August, developer Amplitude Studios and publisher SEGA have put together a video to present just how many options there are and things to see in the Civilization-esque strategy game.

HUMANKIND will allow players to form their own civilizations by combining 60 historical cultures, leading to over 1,000,000 combinations. These civilizations can span across 10 different biomes, with 45 distinct animal species and a 13 ½ hour soundscape alongside a 520-minute soundtrack from Arnaud Roy. The soundtrack encompasses 280 songs produced by 20 choir vocalists and 63 musicians.

What's more, players can create a custom avatar with what are described as "endless" options, 10,000 in-game voice lines, and 122 costumes. They will be joined by 129 choices for units and can participate in 10-person multiplayer. HUMANKIND will also feature 700 illustrations for achievements and special moments in players' civilization's histories as well as 150 narrative events that offer choices that can shape your future. And all of this is just scratching the surface of what the game has to offer.

HUMANKIND is available for pre-order on PC & Stadia for its release on the 17th of August, at which point it will also be available for Microsoft Xbox Game Pass.
