Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX is Now Available!

Returning to the West for the first time in years, the Monster Rancher series has finally made its triumphant return! Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX is officially now available to buy digitally.

Celebrating the series 25th anniversary, Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX contains both the first and second Monster Rancher games that were originally released in 1997 and 1999 respectively. For the first time in years, they've been released to modern hardware, and now these beloved titles have finally been brought over to modern hardware. For those unfamiliar with Monster Rancher, these games allow players to birth their monsters from their favourite music. But where will you get the music? An online database, of course! With each album birthing their own monsters, the player will train them up to compete against others in both combat and tournaments where you will test each monster's attributes and abilities to become victorious.

With added content that never originally appeared in the Western launch, you can now have additional save slots, Freeze slots, Monster Hall of Fame slots and 27 additional monsters. Along with Training Records to help you raise your monsters and a ranking system for random battles, there's even a Fast Forward mode which will speed up the gameplay. With all of these features, it's sure to mean an even more enjoyable experience to both newcomers and fans alike.

Additionally, players can even look forward to the Monster Koushien World Battle. What's that, you wonder? Well, the Monster Koushien World Battle is a special tournament that will allow fans to discover who the number one player in the world is. Originally, this was only available for Japanese players, but this one will mark the first ever world tournament for the Monster Rancher series. So, players can feel free to upload their save data to the game's servers to see whose monster will reign supreme throughout the world.

If you're interested, feel free to check out the Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX trailer (which features a special message from the Monster Rancher series Executive Producer, Kazumi Fujita). The game itself is officially out now digitally on Nintendo Switch, Steam, iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch via the App Store.
