New Codemasters Micro Machines Game in the Works

Mobile games publisher, Chillingo, (of Cut The Rope  fame) today announced its continued partnership with Codemasters to bring legendary top-down racing game, Micro Machines to mobile devices worldwide later this year. Based on the iconic toy vehicles from Hasbro, Micro Machines games have been one of their most successful franchises for around 25 years now but it's been some time since the last release.

“The Micro Machines brand immediately evokes excitement and nostalgia with so many people around the world,” explains Ed Rumley, General Manager, Chillingo. “The original Micro Machines game from the '90s pioneered the multiplayer, competitive experience and we can’t wait to resurrect those same thrills on today’s mobile devices.”

 Micro Machines  will be available later this year on the Apple App Store for mobile and iOS. No word has been given on other platforms just yet. Visit the game's official Facebook to learn more.
