Nightmare Reaper Leaving Early Access Animated Trailer

After five years in development, the popular game Nightmare Reaper will be leaving its early access stage behind as it is set for launch and the developers have announced there will be a discount to celebrate it.

For those who may not know, Nightmare Reaper is a title that takes inspiration from the classic 2.5D first person shooters of the 90s and melds looter shooter and roguelite aspects to create its gameplay. As for the story, the developers say it's a "non-intrusive but mysterious" tale of going into nightmares. The game features:

  • Tons of enemies in open-ended levels.
  • Character progression: Use gold you find to buy upgrades and new abilities through some nostalgic mini games.
  • Arsenal of weapons: 80 unique weapons (58 in EA) that players can acquire through looting.
  • Over 30 enchantments for weapons.
  • Music and audio by Andrew Hulshult from DOOM Eternal.
  • Multiple game modes: Campaign, Endless, New Game+, and Challenge modes.
  • A mix of manual and random world generation.

Nightmare Reaper will be leaving Steam Early Access and GOG Games in Development on the 28th of March, during which time the game will be on a 15% discount until the 4th of April.
