Shadow Corridor Sees Digital-Only Release in the West Later This Month

Japanese horror game Shadow Corridor will see a digital-only release on the Nintendo Switch in Europe, Australia, and North America on 26th October. This follows the Japanese release on 8th August earlier this year and a Steam release in early 2019.

Shadow Corridor is a survival horror game with a focus on mazes that takes place in various traditional Japanese locations, the area changing with each playthrough of the game. Each map in the game is randomly generated as well, making it unlikely that the player will have the same experience twice. The game also features an intuitive AI for enemies, known as the Spirits of Noh, which reacts to various stimuli in the game, such as light or sound.

Other features in the game include randomized items and item placement, immersive sound design in lieu of a soundtrack, and the ability to play as a Spirit of Noh in the new Apparition Defenders mode. The Apparition Defenders mode has the player, as a ghost, hunt humans trying to find their way through the maze in a reverse role situation.

Shadow Corridor will be available on Nintendo Switch and is currently available on Steam.
