The Centre for Computing History Hold Event Celebrating Ocean Software
Between 1984 and 1998, Ocean Software were one of the biggest software houses in Europe. With titles like The New Zealand Story, Jurassic Park, Chase HQ and Daley Thompson’s Decathlon, their name was everywhere in the days of 8-bit and 16-bit computers and consoles. After being bought out by Infogrames in 1998, they were rebranded. First they became Infogrames UK, then Atari Inc. which is who they are now.
The Centre for Computing History are celebrating the company’s legacy with a special event on the 14th May. Three veteran members of the company will be in attendance, Simon Butler, Mark Jones and Stephen Thompson. They will be holding talks, hosting a Q&A session and signing games and merchandise for attendees.
The Centre will open for the evening at 6pm. The talk will begin at 7pm and the centre will remain open late after the talk. In the latter part of the evening, they will have all the old Ocean favourites out for you to play on the original systems. Feel free to bring along some drinks and nibbles. Ocean made some classics, and some stinkers too.
Was it RoboCop that was impossible to complete, or am I thinking of something else from them..

It was. Specifically the Commodore 64 port wherer they made the last level impossible to complete unless you cheated as they couldnt' squeeze the ending of the game into the memory.
