Those Who Came Releases X-MASS Update

Those who Came, a cooperative space RPG is getting its biggest update yet with the X-MASS Update. With this update, there are new features to look forward to with new maps, tweaks to existing mechanics, and a significant number of improvements including bug fixes. It's been available on Early Access on Steam since last October.

Let's go into some more detail about the more notable features of the X-MASS update. As part of Those Who Came, there are elemental powers which can be learned by players. Formerly known as Sainen "magics" they'll now be referred to as "energies". Players can learn these energies from level 1, until they reach level 50. Although practice is the main way to learn, there will now be individual tutorial stages to help ease the learning curve. With this, there might be more of a chance to become useful to the rest of Sainen.

If you're new to the game, these are the energies you can learn: 

Airy: Levitation. Basically allows you to fly, and protects your player from big falls.
Firei: Glowing Orb. This is a light in the darkness, and you can melt certain objects with it.
Ether: Shade. Allows players to reshape themselves or other objects, so pretty handy to reach new areas.
Jointer: Object transmutation. This empowers your companions and creates new paths through energising the environment.

So, as you can tell, the new tutorial features should make these a bit easier for new Those Who Came players to learn.

There's also some new areas of Solarus to explore, and therefore some more story content. To make multiplayer quests easier, there's some more flexible requirements, one being that they'll lower the number of players needed on each quest. There will even be a first glimpse into single-player mode for some exploration missions.

Naturally, there's plenty of bug fixes, where if you're interested, then there will be a massive list of changes here.
