Now that the new year is upon us in truth and we’re back to work, I believe it is time to look at a game that does a great job of helping us forget about daily life and immerse ourselves in a world of fantasy, adventure, and multiple British accents. No, it’s not Skyrim!

I’m not going to lie, this one is a bit biassed: Dragon’s Dogma is one of my favourite games of all time and is one of the rare games I have played multiple times over without getting bored. Maybe it’s the expansive word, the immersive exploration, or the game assuming I’m madly in love with the elderly merchant because they’re the only one I speak with regularly, but I just love this game to bits! With the sequel in the works and soon to be released, now is as good a time as any to freshen up on the lore and remind yourself why pawns are like pets: lovely in theory, but a whole lot of trouble in practice!
